BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 2012
EVERY VOTER MUST SHOW PHOTO IDENTIFICATION EACH TIME THEY VOTE.

ADVANCE VOTERS REQUESTING A MAIL BALLOT WHO ASK OTHER PEOPLE TO MAIL OR DELIVER THEIR BALLOTS MUST DESIGNATE THE DELIVERY PERSON IN WRITING TO THE ELECTION OFFICE.
 

Early voting can start twenty days before an Election Day.  You may vote in advance, without reason at the Ottawa County Election Office, 307 N. Concord, Suite 102, Minneapolis, (785) 392-2279

One of three ways to vote is allowed.
1. You may vote in advance in person at the Election office 20 days prior to any election during regular office hours, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.  The deadline for voting in person is 12:00 noon on the Monday prior to Election Day, Election office only.  Photo ID is required.

2. To vote by mail, you may contact the Election office for an Application for Advance Voter Ballot and it can be mailed to you, or come in person.  The applications can be downloaded at http://www.sos.ks.gov, under Filings & Forms, and then Elections & Legislative. These applications can be mailed back to the election office or faxed at (785) 392-2011.  The completed application must be received at the Election Office before 5:00 p.m. on the Friday prior to the election.  Ballots can be mailed beginning 20 days before the election.  Your completed ballot must be returned by mail or in person to the County Election Office.  All persons asking someone else to deliver or mail their ballots, must submit in writing to the County Election Office, the name of the person they are designating to return ballot.  All ballots are required to be received by 7:00 p.m., on Election Day.

3. You may go to the polls and vote on Election Day.  The polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.  Photo ID is required.
