2012 ELECTIONS

 

National/State/Local Elections are gearing up!  Filing deadline for all non-judicial candidates is Friday, June 1, 2012, at noon, for national, state, county, township and precinct offices.  For those offices affected by redistricting (U.S. House, Kansas Senate, Kansas House, State Board of Education), if redistricting is completed after May 10, 2012, the filing deadline will move to Monday, June 11, 2012, at noon.  All candidates will file for office in the Ottawa County Clerk's office, 307 N Concord St., Suite 102, Minneapolis.  The Primary Election is Tuesday, August 7, 2012, and the General Election is Tuesday, November 6, 2012.  Please call County Clerk's office for more information, 785-392-2279.

Commissioner, District 2 & 3: Fee Method, $208.04 plus $35 (State); Petition Method, Republican Candidates, 26 signatures of registered voters in the District plus $35; Democratic Candidates, 6 signatures of registered voters in the District plus $35.

County Attorney: Fee Method, $486.72 plus $35 (State); Petition Method, Republican Candidates, 79 signatures of registered voters in the county plus $35; Democratic Candidates, 18 signatures of registered voters in the county plus $35.

County Sheriff: Fee Method, $488.80 plus $35 (State); Petition Method, Republican Candidates, 79 signatures of registered voters in the county plus $35; Democratic Candidates, 18 signatures of registered voters in the county plus $35.
